Long Time Coming.....

Okay, so it has been months since I have blogged. A lot has happened since then. To start, I have had my baby (2 1/2 weeks early). A beautiful little boy named Zachary Evan. He is wonderful. He is now almost 8 weeks old. I had a long, challenging labor, but in the end, I delivered vaginally and baby and momma are healthy. (Baby did spend some time in the special care unit as he swallowed some miconium. This was challenging, as I wanted him with me). We are home now together, and have been for a while now and all is great. He is wonderful, and is already developing a terrific personality. He is a pretty easy baby and does not fuss too much. He is a big eater and I am breast feeding and pumping, so no rest for Momma, but it is so worth it! He is up about every 2 hours at night, so you know how that goes. I couldn't be happier, and neither could my husband, he is a GREAT father!

On a much sadder note, my mother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly 2 weeks ago. She has a brain aneurysm. It was so sudden and so severe, she did not suffer at all, so the doctors say. I hope that is true, at least that would be good to know. Anyway, I will not get into all the details now, but needless to say, I am so saddened by this. My whole family is. I was very close to my mother, and am still in shock. I am only beginning to start my grieving process. I am glad my son came early, my Mom got to spend some time with him, but I am just as saddened that she will not get to watch him grow, and he will not know her. Life feels especially ironic right now.

Anyway, after those two events, there seems nothing else worthy of writing about. More later.
